Paintball Games To Get You Moving

If you’re a relative newcomer to paintball games, you’ll no doubt have got your first taste of it either as part of a team building exercise with your workmates, or taken part in a birthday party celebration of paintballing with your friends.  Paintballing is also a popular activity for an alternative to the traditional stag do weekend, and even the odd hen party has been known to give it a try.

Paintball games are a great way to de-stress, which is probably why they’re popular with many companies as a gift to their employees.  Paintball seems to be the number one choice for bosses looking for an activity that will bond their staff and teach them leadership skills and co-working in harmony.  It doesn’t always work, but it is at least great fun to aim at the boss for once.

What Kind Of Paintball Games Can You Expect?

These vary widely from site to site; as a rule of thumb the bigger and more established the site is (and the company that runs it) the more you can expect from it.  One paintballing site in the UK has Egyptian pyramids, bunkers, bridges and even an Afghan fort to storm.

The general idea behind paintball games is that you and your team should take the flag of the opposing team, but there are many variations to prevent boredom.  Sometimes your goal will be to storm the bridge to the opponent’s camp.  You may have to get into a village and flush your enemies out of their huts.

If you’re thinking of getting into paintballing for the first time, it’s advisable to contact a number of local sites before you decide which one to go with.  Visit if you can.  Some are definitely better than others and give you more bang for your buck.  Ask how many different paintball game scenarios there are.  Some centres will run a number of vastly different ones during the course of a single day.

And If You Can’t Get Out To Play…

Then why not have a go at one of the many paintball games popping up online?  These vary widely in player involvement and quality (some can be quite addictive), but many of these games are free to try.

They don’t beat the real thing, but if you’re obsessed with paintball games it won’t matter; it might just keep you going until your next trip.  Besides, a bit of extra target practice without the need to waste those real paintballs never did anyone any harm.
