What Paintball Supplies Should You Be Buying Yourself?

If you started out playing paintball every now and then, the chances are you won’t have any paintball supplies of your own; you’ll have been borrowing them from your local club.

But if you are thinking about playing more regularly, maybe it’s time to make a statement and buy your own paintball supplies to take with you each time.  With that decision made, the item you’ll no doubt want to buy first is your very own paintball gun.

Paintball Guns Galore

Not surprisingly there’s plenty to choose from.  You can opt for a black hand held pistol style gun, or go for one of the more elaborate rifle style guns, which come in a variety of colors.  Although you might arguably stand more chance of being spotted if you go out touting a bright blue gun instead of a sleek black one.

Any good paintball supplies store should allow you to try out the guns before purchasing.  Not literally by loading up with paint and splattering their display cases, but just to test their weight and feel.  The ideal gun for you is out there somewhere – you just have to take your time in finding it.  And don’t forget to think about getting a holster too.

Weighing Up Your Paintballs

When it comes to paintball supplies, the paintballs themselves are of real importance.  The layperson might assume a paintball is just a paintball, but there’s a big difference between the cheapest and the best.

The best you can get are Nelson paintballs.  They’re not cheap but if you want decent paintballs that really leave a mark when you shoot someone, get Nelson.  Generally speaking cheaper versions aren’t as effective.

The Long And The Short Of It

Go onto any website that sells paintball supplies and you’d be forgiven for being overwhelmed by the choice and range of equipment available.  From guns to paintballs, bags to markers, CO2 systems to barrels, there’s such a wealth of stuff to choose from it’s hard to know where to start.

The best option to take if you’re going to start buying your own equipment is to start with the gun and paintballs and add to your collection as and when you can afford to.  You should be prepared to drop a lot of cash in the pursuit of the perfect paintballing outfit and gear, but if you play regularly the investment will be well worth it.
